Karrimor use waterproof, breathable membranes in its footwear to keep water from entering whilst allowing water vapour (sweat) to escape. Even while sitting still over eight hours, your feet will sweat the equivalent to a one-quarter cup of water. During even gentle exercise, this can be greatly increased. Wet feet blister, and feel cold and uncomfortable. The membranes Karrimor uses, allows water vapour to escape, leaving feet dry and comfortable.

The Karrimor last is generally recognised as a higher-volume last; which means the fit feels wider –- more akin to the British and European foot shape. Outsole

Quality sandals. Karrimor is a good reputable brand. These Aruba sandals have a good velcro strap system and a well cushioned and very comfortable for light hiking or general summer and beach wear. Recommended.

Great bit of kit!, well built comfortable thick and stable chunky sole, good grip, plenty of velcro straps to adjust for comfort and fit. Should be able to walk for miles in these with no issues. I’ll be taking these on safari to Kenya in August.

great disappointment
Based on the success of the preceding models the new GT2150 must be great too, right? Wrong! This shoe is a great disappointment. After doing the initial 5k few days back my feet covered in bloody blisters, especially in the arch area. Putting on few layers of adhesive wound tape yesterday didn’t help at all and after 15 years of regular running I was hereby eliminated from the runners community for at least couple of weeks. Since there is nothing wrong with my feet and nothing similar has ever happened to me before, there is only one reason coming to my mind – Asics seems to be one of those companies that took their success for granted and just stopped taking care of details. Great news for competitors, bad for devoted Asics users, including myself until recently.

Needs a slight adjustment but best shoe ive run in
I had a lot of knee pain from overpronating until I bought these shoes, now i can comfortable run 12miles+ with no problems. The only thing I found is that the medial support on the insole was a little high and needed to be trimmed which took a few seconds to do.
I disagree with the other review completely, Im very satisfied with the fit, colour, ventilation, grip and support of this shoe.

Absolutely fine
Have worn this Ascis series for the last 8 years. Despite the experience of some other reviewers I found these absolutely fine, no discernible difference from previous models. Ran Paris in my pair in April without a single blister.

ESSENTIAL!
Probably the best trainers in the world – well, certainly not far off!
Comfortable, hard wearing, iconic, all are words that are apt.
Adidas is far and away my favourite label based mainly on the 3 stripe design and these trainers more than look the part. Perfect for the street, the pub or the office on a dress down day. Timeless and yet somehow always modern, these will fit almost all subcultures & ages (something that can’t be said of some of the monstrosities that masquerade as footwear).
My last pair lasted a good 3 or 4 years of frequent use. Now I didn’t play football in them so obviously astro turf may limit that lifespan slightly but as far as I’m concerned they were good VFM.
Excellent service from the supplier too – got them in a couple of days with no hitches.

….. Samba are always reliable – comfortable and hard wearing. These are great – delivered quickly at a price that I couldn’t find cheaper anywhere.

Timeless
The best trainers ever, had a pair when I was 20 the coolest look ever in the seventys and eighties, plus great for five aside and the pub, and I have always had a pair ever since and now I’m in my 50’s. A timless footwear then and now! don’t just look at the picture, splash the cash and enjoy.

Walking on sunshine
An outstanding price for a real quality product.
The item was virtually half price, and delivery was quick.
Like all Merrell footwear, they are instantly comfortable and any distance or terrain is literally ‘a walk in the park’.
Be careful on the sizing though, I aleady own other Merrell footwear and always need a size larger than I normally take.
If they last anything like as long as my others, then there’s miles and miles of comfort to be had.

size matters
I concur with ‘daddy dave’ fantastic shoes, but you really do need a size up from your normal!

Comfort
These are the first Merrell’s I have bought and they are fantastic, from the first moment I put them on I could feel the difference in comfort from my old trainers. They are very well made and the quality is impressive. If you haven’t bought Merrell before, do it, the Intercept is good and I am now looking for the next line up.

I’ve got the rainbow version of these and they are brilliant. Soooooooooooooooo comfy. Really bright and cheerful and seem to be well made. As soon as they arrived we were all trying them on. My daughter has the white ones which are lovely too.

Watch out for sizing
This is a nice, lightweight walking shoe which, at face value, seems to be good value for the price.
I have yet to walk any long distances in it so can’t comment on comfort or ‘fit for purpose’ yet.
But do watch out for sizing per other reviewers’ comments.
I normally take a size 4.5 in normal shoes and boots. I ordered the size 5 which was too small so now have a size 6.

Very tight fit
I wish I’d read more of the comments before I ordered. The shoes are very well made and look great. But the sizing is exceptionally narrow. I don’t have wide feet, and have never struggled with any other shoes. Definately not designed to allow thicker walking socks to be worn, which kind of defeats the object of buying hiking shoes. Also I don’t think a larger size would help, as they would be too long, and probably not much wider, so once again not the best for a comfortable days walking.

Great buy
I have bought two pairs of these shoes and found them both great. Recommended them to a friend who bought a pair and his comment was it was like walking the dog in slippers…sooo comfortable. My first pair are getting well worn now so am going to order another pair. Waterproof comfortable and great value for money )

Dry, comfy and well designed.
I have found wellingtons to be a necessary evil. Most keep your feet dry, at least till they spring a leak, but few are comfortable to walk in. Taking a size 8 and a half in shoes, I find I have to go up in size and this only seems to increase my problem with them. No matter what, my socks seem to always want to slip down and bunch near my toes. I have tried a variety of makes over the years with varying degrees of success, but my new Karrimor Unisex boots have proved to be a most pleasant surprise. Not only are they quite comfortable to walk in, they seem very well designed. As a daily dog walker, I meet many different types of terrain and they seem well fitted for a range of purposes. They seem more like extended shoes with the side adjusters so simple to use. The soles provide excellent grip which I find necessary when crossing burns in spate. And there seems little danger of me stepping out of them accidentally in soft, muddy foreshores or peat bogs in the moors nearby. This being the case, the only slight problem is in getting them off without some form of assistance. I would recommend one of the many inexpensive ‘welly removers’ to save frustration.

All in all, I am delighted with my new boots and find them an excellent bargain at Amazon’s competetive price!

look good but rubbish
I have a pair of Karrimor walking boots which are excellent so I ordered these wellies thinking they would be similar quality. They are not. The insoles slip around inside, even though they fit me well, and they are not as comfy as my old wellies which lasted five years. These lasted exactly 2 months and split across the top on the toe-seam. The soles are cleated and look durable but show excessive wear after so short a time.

Wet Feet
Have had these boots less than two months and they are literally falling to pieces. Within two days the lining had ripped at the heel and after a few weeks the boots split at the sides, letting water in. By seven weeks they are completely useless and I will be making a complaint to the company. Very dissapointing

Check size first!
Bought a pair of the all black all stars in size 11. Normally that size is fine but they were a bit tight at the toes. Have returned them for 12’s. Smart pair of shoes all the same.

Might be worth checking them out in a shop first for size.

Great shoes
I am going to keep it short so you can just get my opinion quickly. These shoes are great, they keep your feet at an amazing temperature for anything, they are comfortable and easy to walk, or do sports in. The material is good and quality is good. Just be prepared to spend an extra minute putting these on before you go out.
